Hydromec Inc., a growing company, is looking for a Sales Representative, Equipment for its Dolbeau-Mistassini, Chicoutimi or Québec branch, to join a passionate and dynamic team dedicated to providing tailored solutions to professionals in the recycling, forestry, port and industrial sectors.
Reporting to the Sales Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling handling equipment while developing strong relationships with a diverse clientele throughout Québec. With your field knowledge, you will work closely with clients to understand their specific needs and guide them in selecting high-performance equipment suited to their operational requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Promotion and sales: Promote and advise on equipment based on clients’ specific needs while highlighting the strengths of Hydromec’s products.
Market analysis: Monitor construction industry trends to adjust offerings and maximize equipment positioning.
Client development: Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while identifying new opportunities within the assigned territory.
Equipment evaluation and follow-up: Assess used equipment and ensure resale according to market demand.
Go-to-Market Strategy: Plan and share with management structured and organized strategies to achieve sales objectives
Proposals and quotes: Prepare clear, competitive, and tailored business proposals for each client, in line with company standards.
Activity reports: Produce accurate, concise reports on prospects and sales follow-up.
Competitive intelligence: Be knowledgeable about competitor products to effectively position the advantages of Hydromec’s equipment.
SKILLS
- Education in mechanics, sales, or related field (DEP, DEC or equivalent experience).
- Strong interest in heavy equipment and how it operates on worksites.
- Excellent listening skills combined with strong interpersonal communication, persuasion, and negotiation abilities.
- Technical ability to master the technical aspects of construction equipment.
- Organizational skills, aOrganized, autonomous, and able to plan work effectively.
- Knowledge of the construction industry is a major asset.
- Availability for regular travel within the assigned territory.

REQUIREMENTS
Education level: DEP, DEC or equivalent experience in mechanics, sales, or other related field.
Experience: 3 to 5 years in a similar role.
Languages:
Spoken and written French: Advanced
English (Intermediate, an asset)
