Reporting to the Director of Technical Support, Road Service and Training, you will act as a technical reference for customers and internal teams regarding Ponsse equipment and technologies. Through your field expertise, operational support and ability to train and assist users, you will contribute directly to optimizing our customers’ forestry operations across Quebec.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Support and Operational Assistance
- Assist customers during the commissioning of new equipment.
- Support customers in the digitalization of operations using Ponsse tools (Manager, API, EcoDrive, etc.) as well as other developing solutions.
- Provide technical support related to equipment operation and maintenance.
- Perform field adjustments, calibrations, conditioning and sharpening to achieve desired performance levels.
- Provide technical support to Quebec branches, conduct the necessary research and assist technicians with diagnostics.

Training and Skills Development

Documentation, Software and Continuous Improvement
- Manage various Ponsse documents and presentations to maintain current knowledge and stay continuously up to date.
- Deliver presentations on software developed by Ponsse to improve the efficiency and profitability of forestry operations.
Representation
- Participate in the organization and execution of promotional events, demonstrations, trade shows, conferences and other related activities as required.
SKILLS
- Learn and master technologies developed by Ponsse while staying up to date on them, and understand competitors’ strengths and weaknesses in order to highlight our competitive advantages.
- Possess knowledge of past, current and future forestry methods and practices, as well as a strong understanding of forestry operations and their impacts.
- Be comfortable using Microsoft Office software as well as learning and using Ponsse Opti software used in forestry harvesting operations.
- Possess strong communication and knowledge-sharing skills, along with the ability to deliver training effectively.
- Possess good knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, electricity, electronics and computer systems related to forestry equipment and technologies, considered an asset.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday.

REQUIREMENTS
Education: Vocational, college or university training in forestry, heavy equipment mechanics or related fields.
Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in the forestry industry, heavy equipment mechanics or any other relevant experience related to the position.
Travel: Availability to travel frequently throughout different regions of Quebec.

Reporting to the Parts Director, the candidate will play an essential role in supporting warehouse and shop operations. You will actively contribute to material handling, technical team support, and the general maintenance of equipment and facilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Material Handling and Logistics: Load and unload trucks, receive merchandise, and organize it in the appropriate locations.
Receiving and Shipping: Support the receiving/shipping clerk in daily tasks and provide coverage when required.
Transportation and Deliveries: Perform various transportation, delivery, and operational support tasks as needed.
Health and Safety: Follow and apply occupational health and safety regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
Related Tasks: Perform any other related duties assigned by the supervisor.
