Choose the PONSSE C44+ parallel crane or the PONSSE C5 sliding boom crane. The tilt angle of the crane base is ±20º as standard, resulting in smooth working and making the crane power available, even on the steepest slopes. The powerful and accurate two-engine slewing is a standard feature in both crane options.
The powerful engine and hydraulics produce more than enough power, in all harvesting conditions. The power, torque and fuel economy of the Mercedes-Benz / MTU engine are better than ever. The advanced transmission offers excellent handling and machine control – especially in uneven terrain and on steep slopes.
The design of the Cobra frame focuses particularly on balance, durability and properties. The reliable frame oscillation lock equipped with hydraulic cylinders is solid and acts as a shock absorber when driving.
PONSSE harvester heads are known for their high efficiency/weight ratios and robust structure, which are second to none. A broad harvester head range is available for Cobra: choose H5 for thinning-based harvesting or H6 or H7 for regeneration felling. H7 HD Euca is efficient when harvesting eucalyptus. Cobra’s particular strength is the long reach of its crane. Equipped with the C44+ crane, the reach of H5 and H6 harvester heads is up to 11 metres, making Cobra unbeatable at thinning sites.
The eight-wheeled machine’s excellent stability and tractive force are useful when working on steep slopes and in otherwise challenging terrain. At the same time, the low surface pressure guarantees progress, even when the terrain is soft.
