Hydromec Inc., a growing company, is looking for a Yard/Shop Assistant to join its passionate and committed team at the Amos branch. Our team is dedicated to creating an inclusive, safe, and employee-focused work environment.

Reporting to the Branch Director, the incumbent will be a key member of our dynamic team. They will play an essential role in supporting branch operations, including handling merchandise, assisting with shipping and receiving activities, and providing support to the shop and parts teams. They will contribute to the smooth day-to-day operations within a collaborative work environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handling and receiving: Load and unload trucks, handle merchandise and place it in designated locations according to established procedures.

  • Logistics support: Assist the shipping and receiving clerk with daily activities and provide coverage during absences.

  • General maintenance: Perform minor repairs related to small tools, buildings and facilities to maintain a functional and safe work environment.

  • Technical support: Participate in the installation, dismantling and cleaning of certain parts and/or equipment in support of the team.

  • Operational travel: Perform various trips required to support branch activities (valid driver’s licence required).

  • Health and safety: Follow and apply occupational health and safety standards in the performance of duties.

  • Other duties: Perform any other related tasks assigned by the supervisor.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND BENEFITS

REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Secondary Education

  • Expérience : 3 to 5 years

  • Languages :

    • Spoken French: Advanced
    • Written French: Intermediate
