Hydromec Inc., a growing company, is looking for a Welder to join its passionate and committed team at the Dolbeau-Mistassini branch. Our team is dedicated to creating an inclusive, safe, and employee-focused work environment.

Reporting to the Machining, Welding, and Cylinder Shop Manager, the Welder will be responsible for welding parts and subcomponents according to Hydromec’s standards and customer requirements, while meeting production deadlines and adhering to occupational health and safety regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assembly and Welding: Weld parts and subcomponents based on technical drawings, specifications, and Hydromec’s quality standards

    • Quality and Precision: Perform thorough weld inspections to ensure compliance with technical specifications and customer expectations.
    • Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret technical drawings and industrial blueprints to assemble parts accurately and in accordance with requirements.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and maintain welding equipment to ensure proper operation and report any anomalies.

  • Health and Safety Compliance: Work in strict accordance with occupational health and safety rules, using personal protective equipment and contributing to a safe work environment.

  • Priority Management: Collaborate with the team to meet production deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.

  • Continuous Improvement: Suggest improvements to optimize welding processes, reduce material waste, and enhance overall workshop efficiency.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth production and quickly address technical challenges.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in Welding

  • Experience: 3 to 5 years.

  • Languages:

    • Spoken French: Advanced
    • Written French: Intermediate
    • English: Beginner (an asset)
