Hydromec Inc., a growing company, is seeking a Sales Representative, Equipment at its Dolbeau-Mistassini or Saguenay branch to join a passionate and dynamic team dedicated to providing solutions tailored to the needs of professionals in the construction industry.
Reporting to the Sales Director, the incumbent will be responsible for promoting and advising on the sale of construction equipment in the Saguenay, Lac-St-Jean, La Tuque, and Côte-Nord regions. Using your field knowledge, you will work closely with customers to understand their specific needs and assist them in selecting high-performance equipment adapted to their operational requirements
RESPONSABILITIES
Promotion and Sales: Promote and advise on equipment based on customers’ specific needs while highlighting the strengths of Hydromec products.
Market Analysis: Monitor construction industry trends to adapt offerings and maximize equipment positioning.
Customer Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while identifying new opportunities in the assigned sector.
Equipment Evaluation and Monitoring: Evaluate used equipment and ensure its resale based on market needs.
Go-to-Market Strategy: Plan and share structured and organized strategies with management to achieve sales objectives.
Proposals and Quotes: Prepare clear, competitive, and tailored sales proposals for each client, while adhering to company standards.
Activity Reporting: Produce accurate and concise activity reports on prospects and sales tracking.
Competitive Intelligence: Understand competing products to effectively position the benefits of Hydromec’s equipment.
SKILLS
- Training in mechanics, sales, or a related field (DEP, DEC, or equivalent experience).
- Keen interest in heavy equipment and its operation on construction sites.
- Excellent listening skills, combined with strong interpersonal communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
- Technical proficiency to master the technical aspects of construction equipment.
- Organizational skills, autonomy, and the ability to plan work effectively.
- Knowledge of the construction industry is a major asset.
- Availability for regular travel within the assigned area.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND BENEFITS

Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday.

REQUIREMENTS
Level of Education: DEP, DEC, or equivalent experience in mechanics, sales, or a related field.
Experience: 3 to 5 years in a similar role.
Languages
Spoken and written French: Advanced
English (Intermediate, an asset)
