Hydromec Inc., a growing company, is currently seeking a Labourer – Steel Cutting and Hydraulic Cylinder Repair for its Dolbeau-Mistassini branch to join a passionate and dedicated team committed to fostering an inclusive, safe and employee-focused work environment.
Reporting to the Shop Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for receiving and cutting steel in accordance with Hydromec’s quality standards. The successful candidate will also assist with hydraulic cylinder repair and contribute to the efficient operation of the shop while meeting deadlines, maintaining quality standards and complying with occupational health and safety requirements.
RESPONSIBILIES
Steel Cutting
• Receive steel deliveries;
• Verify deliveries (quantity, condition of materials, etc.);
• Manage inventory;
• Prepare steel for cutting;
• Follow dimensions and tolerances in accordance with Hydromec standards;
• Maintain the cleanliness and proper condition of cutting equipment;
• Comply with occupational health and safety regulations at all times.
Hydraulic Cylinder Repair
• Receive components and perform cleaning and disassembly according to Hydromec and customer requirements;
• Identify components prior to disassembly;
• Identify problems and perform diagnostics;
• Work collaboratively with the team to ensure departmental efficiency and customer satisfaction;
• Ensure Hydromec’s quality standards are met to satisfy customer expectations;
• Adjust and assemble components using hand and power tools;
• Perform any other related duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
