Hydromec Inc., a rapidly growing company, is seeking a Road Service Technician for its Amos branch to join a passionate and committed team dedicated to creating an inclusive, safe, and employee-focused work environment.

Reporting to the Branch Director, you will be responsible for performing diagnostics, repairs, inspections, and maintenance on equipment directly at customer sites. You will play a key role in responding to service calls, adhering to Hydromec’s high standards of quality and safety, and contributing to maintaining customer satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Diagnostics and Repairs: Evaluate, diagnose, and repair various components and systems of heavy machinery directly at customer sites.

  • Inspection and Maintenance: Conduct thorough inspections and perform preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure its proper operation.

  • Service Calls: Respond promptly and efficiently to service calls, providing tailored solutions to meet customer needs.

  • Continuous Training: Participate in internal and external training sessions to stay current with evolving technologies and systems.

  • Documentation: Complete service and repair reports to ensure traceability and clear communication with clients and internal teams.

SKILLS

  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems, including electric proportional controls.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Computer skills for using diagnostic and management tools.
  • Autonomy, availability, versatility, and methodical work habits.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND BENEFITS

  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in Heavy Equipment Mechanics or Mobile Equipment Mechanics (or equivalent experience).

  • Experience: 3 to 5 years.

  • Languages:

    • Spoken French: Advanced
    • Written French: Intermediate
    • English: Beginner (an asset)
