Hydromec Inc., a growing company, is currently seeking a Labourer for its Chicoutimi branch to join a passionate and dedicated team committed to fostering an inclusive, safe and employee-focused work environment.

Reporting to the Branch Director, the incumbent will be a key member of our dynamic team. You will play an essential role in maintaining the facilities, supporting daily operations and handling merchandise. You will contribute to the smooth running of branch activities by helping maintain a clean, safe and efficient work environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facility maintenance: Ensure cleanliness and general upkeep of the shop, including floor cleaning, waste management, and maintaining a safe and orderly work environment.

  • Site monitoring: Conduct regular inspections of the shop to ensure facilities are in good condition and health and safety standards are followed.

  • Outdoor maintenance: Keep access points and outdoor walkways clear and safe, including snow removal from entrances and pathways, as well as general grounds maintenance (lawn mowing, trimming shrubs, etc.).

  • Operations support: Assist with loading and unloading merchandise and contribute to the smooth flow of branch activities.

  • General work: Perform basic carpentry, painting and mechanical tasks and carry out various minor maintenance, repair and improvement tasks.

  • Logistics support: Perform travel as required to support branch operations, based on supervisors’ needs.

  • Health and safety: Follow and apply occupational health and safety standards in the performance of duties.

  • Other duties: Perform any other related tasks assigned by the supervisor.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND BENEFITS

REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Secondary education

  • Experience: 3 to 5 years

  • Languages:

    • Spoken French: Advanced
    • Written French: Intermediate
